2. Travel Preparation

Before going to Disney, be sure to make sufficient preparations. Since Disney is in a relatively remote area of ​​Shanghai, it is recommended that non-local tourists book nearby hotels in advance. Download the official Disney app in advance to get timely information about attractions and show times.

4) Bring disposable raincoats if you are going to play rafting, you need to prepare cash if you buy them on-site.

2.1. How to Get Shanghai Disneyland Reservation Code

During the initial resumption of operations, visitors must purchase tickets for a designated day at Shanghai Disneyland in advance. On-site ticket sales will be temporarily suspended. All annual pass holders must make an advance reservation for the date and time of entry through the resort’s official online channels. Non-designated day tickets cannot be used during this “advance reservation period”.

Submit the basic personal information (including information for infant visitors) of each visitor in advance through the official online channels of Shanghai Disney Resort. After successfully submitting your personal information, visitors will receive a “Shanghai Disneyland Reservation Code”. This reservation code must be presented before entering the park.

3. Items to Bring

It is best to bring a power bank to extend the battery life of your mobile devices. If you are going to Disney in the summer, be sure to take sun protection measures, sunscreen and hats can be brought; because the park is very large, it is best to wear comfortable shoes to avoid leg pain from excessive exercise.

Visitors are allowed to bring food and beverages for their own consumption into Shanghai Disneyland, but they are not allowed to bring food that needs to be heated, reheated, processed, refrigerated or kept warm, or food with strong odors.

Food and beverages that cannot be brought in include: alcoholic beverages, food that needs to be heated or reheated (instant noodles, self-heating hot pot), food that needs to be processed or refrigerated (whole watermelon, frozen dumplings, etc.), food with strong odors (durian, stinky tofu, cheese, etc.). Canned and glass containers are still not allowed in the park, except for baby food.

4. Travel Time

When going to Disney, be sure to avoid peak crowds. It is best not to go during statutory holidays, and weekends should be avoided as well. Generally, winter and spring are the off-season. Disney’s opening hours are 9:00~20:00 every day, but it is best to go to line up before 6:30 to save time queuing.

5. Attractions

Disney has several exciting attractions, among which Tron: Lightcycle Run is the most exciting roller coaster attraction, so you can queue up early, but children under 1.2m are not allowed to ride; besides, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Pirates of the Caribbean are all relatively exciting attractions.
