Laoyesheng Mountain, also known as Yuanshou Mountain and North Wudang, is a main peak in the central part of Datong. The main peak is 2928 meters above sea level, covering an area of 3.24 square kilometers, with a large difference in elevation and a relative height of 486.5 meters. Laoyesheng Mountain is majestic, known for its steep peaks and cliffs. The scenery is beautiful and picturesque, magnificent and imposing, with prominent peaks and towering cliffs. Since ancient times, the scenic spot has been famous for its lush pines, winding stone steps, winding streams, and beautiful scenery, and it has been listed as one of the nine famous scenic spots in Qinghai Province. The scenic spot was built in 1985, and was awarded the National AAAA Tourist Scenic Spot in 2010. In 2006, the “June 6th” Huahua Festival of Laoyesheng Mountain was included in the national intangible cultural heritage, and the Chao Shan Festival was included in the provincial intangible cultural heritage.
